Andriy Dragan was recognized early on by teachers and the press as an exceptional talent.

Born into a family of Ukrainian musicians, Andriy Dragan began playing the piano at the age of four. He was encouraged by his parents and trained at an early age by Professor Lidia Krych in his hometown of Lviv Krych. Already at the age of 12 he was allowed to perform as a soloist with the Lemberg Orchestra, founded by conductor Gunhard Mattes, in his home country and in Switzerland. With the support of Gunhard Mattes, Andriy Dragan studied at the Basel Music Academy with Professor Adrian Oetiker.

During this period of study in Basel, which lasted about 10 years and led to his graduation as a concert pianist, he regularly took part in competitions. Among his many successes, the "Credit Suisse Jeune Artist 2009" award is particularly noteworthy.

Andriy Dragan now lives in Basel. While studying solo and chamber music at the Basel Music Academy, Dragan was already involved in a wide range of international engagements. For example at the Lucerne Festival 2009, the Verbier Festival 2013 or as "Artist in Residence " at the FestivalLa Roque d'Antheron 2013.
